Down Low (106-132): Three starters return, spread out nicely at 106/120/132, allowing the ability, and flexibility, to make the process of breaking in some new starters a bit easier. Ethan Liptzin was two wins away from a State Medal in 2019. As a senior, he should be one of the top 106-pounders in the State for the Rebels. Another State qualifier returns down low for the Rebels in junior Neiko Malone, who put up 30 wins in 2019. Also back is junior Kyle Nase, who registered 19 wins and wrestled a particularly tough slate of matches for Howell last season. As mentioned, there will be a couple new starters inserted into the lineup here. Among the candidates for starting roles are some experienced returners from last year in senior Nick Caruso, juniors Frank Sandull and Spencer Ostroff, and sophomores Mike Edmundson and Luke Dalton. Newcomers looking to make an impact include freshmen Kieran Bruen and Colin Bradshaw, and junior Jared DeVito.

In The Middle (138-160): Junior Paul Jakub, a District Champ and Region runner-up in 2019, anchors the middle of the lineup. Also returning is another solid junior, James McGee, who had 18 wins last season. There will be some new starters cracking the lineup here as well. Howell will draw from a deep pool that includes Nick Acque, who received a lot of experience as a freshman in the lineup last year, and fellow sophomores Rob Wiessel and JT Goodman, as well as seniors Edwin Brew, Evan Manto, John Coyle, and Kevin Meehan. There are some freshmen in the mix here, including Isiah Fenton and DJ Henry.

Up Top (170-Hwt): Senior Shane Reitsma, who has committed to attend Rider University next season, returns for one final run with the Rebels. Reitsma, a 2-time State Medalist, 2-time Region Champ, and 3-time District Champ, enters the season with 123 career wins. The other starter returning up top for Howell is senior heavyweight Justin Wright, a 21-match winner last season that placed 2nd Districts. Again, Howell will be pulling from their deep depth pool to break in some new starters, including senior George Ibram, juniors Nick Cerulli and Hunter Lino, and sophomores Ian Soutar and Aodhan Clark.

Graduation, again, took a good amount of talent from the Rebels. If history has shown, the Rebels have always been able to plug the gaps with hungry competitors looking to make sure the team doesn't miss a beat. They still have a ton of talent back, and the newcomers coming in are loaded with potential, and they will all be looking to make sure things keep on rolling. The big guns they have returning are spread out all over the lineup, making the process of plugging in the new starters a bit smoother. The schedule this season is something else. In addition to the key divisional matchups with Long Branch and Manalapan, the Rebels have non-division duals with TR North and Jackson Memorial, as well as non-conference showdowns with South Plainfield and High Point, not to mention trips to the Paulsboro Tournament and PowerAde Tournament. This is going to be a very tested team come February, which is where the Rebels biggest goals always reside.
